Class Participation Guideline

You are expected to complete assigned readings before you come to the class. The purpose of class discussion is to clear questions you might have during reading and to help you better understand development issues through exchange of ideas. This is an important part of the course, and it can be extremely rewarding.  I urge you all come to the class fully prepared.

Don't feel pushed. Ask questions only after you have seriously thought about it. To get most of class discussion, be sure to immerse yourself in naturally (to have good a discussion, first you must enjoy it); always ask intelligent questions; and always be ready to answer questions.

You will be notified your progress twice during the semester. So, you won't be in the dark.
